At Working To Wellbeing, we understand that living with a palliative diagnosis brings complex and deeply personal challenges. Our palliative support service offers a compassionate and tailored approach to each individual’s unique situation whilst also considering their personal goals.
Our team of HCPC-registered clinicians provides holistic support focusing on the psychological, social and physical aspects of wellbeing. We focus on what matters most to the individual whether that’s managing symptoms, maintaining independence, staying active, or navigating work-related decisions, including exiting work.
People who have a terminal illness may want to keep working for any number of reasons. We support people to be able to do this, helping them to manage their symptoms and side effects from treatment in their work setting When ready we support them with a phased exit from work.
People who are experiencing emotional difficulties do not always need psychotherapy, rather they would benefit from the opportunity to talk things through, have their feelings validated and be taught the power of compassion, acceptance and problem solving skills.
Discussions around work with an employer can be difficult, especially when it comes to exiting work. We can support people to have these difficult conversations with their employer and plan a phased exit from work.
